Halloween 2016

It was so exciting to get to dress three little girls up for Halloween. With Allen just having his knee surgery on the 19th he wasn't up to going trick-or-treating with us so we went and picked Bri and her friend Sophie and took the girls to the bank to go trick-or-treating this year. We were going to head down to the park to see everybody from 48th ward but I just ran out of energy so we came home and took some cute pictures of the girls instead. Next year I'm going to try really hard to have a Halloween party at the house.

Just a few cute pics from Christmas

Well the pictures on my phone didn't turn out to bad.  I left my camera in Gooding, so this will have to due till I get it back. (Peyton one of the cousins got sponge bob for the girls...I hate sponge bob so I let they lay there till morning, but they stayed at grandma's)
We had a really fun Christmas at Grandma Strickland's house.  The girls woke up at around 7:30, Addie was so excited when we told her Santa had come, she could hardly wait to go see...you can't tell from the picture but they were happy little girls.

Halloween 2012

Halloween this year was a bit harder than I thought it was going to be.  Allen had to end up working late so I ventured out by myself and the girl.  We went to the bank where Allen's sister works and trick or treated there...which I hope to do that every year...so easy and warm. (this year didn't matter for the warm part...it was 65 degrees until the sun went down, crazy)  Then headed over to the neighborhood trunk and treat to say hi to everyone!!!

She got to where she new what to do if now one was by the bucket...help herself of course, but I had to watch her to make sure she only took one or Two!!!
Addie was running to every bucket of candy.
Livi was tuckered out and fell asleep on the way home.
This is a rare picture because Addison never likes to take pictures.  She actually looks like she's enjoying herself.  This is a treasure for me.

Labor Day

Labor day was great this year.  All the peaches were ready to can, so we headed to Gooding to visit.  The weather was really nice and the wind hardly blew.  We put away 100 quarts and 50 pints of peaches in one day.  I was pretty proud of ourselves. We went boating, had a picnic and enjoyed the day.

4th of July 2012

For the past 4 years we have been down at Allen's moms house in Gooding for the 4th.  Since the 4th fell in the middle of the week and Sandra was in Idaho fall staying the night with Allen's brother we decided to stay at home and go up to Idaho falls for the day.  We had a great time.  We saw the tail end of the parade, then we got lunch and went to the park.  Later we went to the zoo.  This was Addison's first trip to the Zoo and she loved it.  She sat in the stroller the whole time, didn't complain, and was very excited to see all the animals.  She can make all the sounds and this is how she thinks she is saying the names.  One day we will get more than sounds out of this girl.  She could talk right now, but she chooses not to.  Then we went to Steve and Marianne's house and played on the blow-up water toy.  We really had a great day.

The Falls
There is a cute little park by the river and we are going to get back there to take some real family pics

Addie ran all over the park.  It is so cute to see her run cause she has such short legs.
My little girl is getting so big.  She has a lot of fun looking around and being outside. She got a little sun and will have a permanent white headband for a bit.
*Having a bigger vehicle has been a lot easier on this mommy!
We went to the zoo.  We don't have a double stroller so we each pushed one.  It was hot but the water mister was a life saver.  The girls were really good and Addie loved the lions the most this trip.

Playing in the water and the slide were all new to this almost 2 yr old and she loved it.  The water was cold but she got use to it.  Grandma was getting big smiles from Livi and trying for a laugh.  Not quite yet.

We got home just in time to watch the fireworks.  We can see them from our house which makes it nice.  We just put the girls in bed and enjoyed the nice evening.  We had a great 4th!!!

Memorial Weekend 2012

We were able to spend another Memorial day donwn in gooding with Allen's family.  Maybe we will make it a tradition to be down there every year.  We have been since we've been married!! The weather was windy, cold and rainy, but on Monday it was a perfect day.  So much so, we didn't want to leave.  We just wanted to stay sitting on the back pourch gabbing.  I really can't believe that in a few days, Livi will be 2 months.  Wow, time goes so fast when you look back.  I should pattent that saying since I've adopted it.  Allen was sick on sunday so I took the girls to church by myself for the first time...I had Sandra there to hold one of them, but it wasn't easy.  I know this might be bad to say, but until Livi is 6 months old, I will not be going to church by myself with the girls.

It's so fun to see Sierra and Addie becoming friends.  They are 10 months apart, have similar personalities, and need to see each other more.  I guess we'll just have to visit grandma more often.

Christmas in New Mexico

Christmas in New Mexico was so much fun.  We got to spend time with Gammy and Pops, go to the airport in Durango and see Todd get home from his mission, visit with nanny and Papa, play with Sofi and Ruby and of course feed the chickens every day we were there.
