Christmas 2010

We had a great Xmas with Allen's family in Gooding, ID.  It was really fun having an addition to our family during this time.  Addison loved her presents...so much she tried to eat every one of them, the bows tasted the best I think.  She loves her new toys and mommy loves the new cloths Gammy got her!!!  It was really nice to just do nothing with my love (allen) and baby on this merry day.

We were sure hoping to help Connie and DJ (allen's sister)move into there house but there were some last minute things to be completed (all the shelving had to be done for the closets, front porch steps had to be pored, and cleaning had to be done). So they should be moving in next week.

Being home Addison has enjoyed all of her new toys and accessories.

5 MOntHs

Today Dec 14, 2010 my baby is 5 months. I really think she is going to be sitting in no time. Addie is a good and happy baby.  She is filling out. She is Petite but solid and has cute chubby chubby cheeks.   She loves her rice cereal.  In one of the pics below you can see her mouth open wide and waiting.  Next week she's going to love squash and green beans, right!!!  We can't wait for her first Xmas so she can wear all the bows and I'm sure she'll try to eat them.

Ready for High Chair............

Today was exciting and sad.  My Baby is growing.  Can I slow her down a bit?  Whenever I'm doing something in the kitchen, I put Addison in her car seat so she can be close and watch me.  She started lifting her head up to see what was going on even more.  I decided that was a good sign that she was ready for the highchair.  So, I pulled it out and  put it together.  We put her in it and she loved it.  She could see and there was a tray of toys right in front of her.  What more could she want, except for me holding her, nothing.  Then we decided to try cereal.  It wasn't to bad.  She didn't spit it all out, but did give a, "what is this mom", face!!!!  We tried it again today, and I think she is going to like it.  We hope she doesn't change her mind.  I'm going to list some things I don't want to forget.

At the end of 4 months (almost 5)
  • Addison loves me to sing to her.  At church when the organ starts playing and I and everyone starts singing, so does she.  It is the cutest thing.  Grandma, she's going to be a singer!!!!
  • Whenever Addie puts her hands by my mouth I start kissing them.  Now she is starting to put touch my face and it's like she wants me to kiss them.
  • After she eats and burbs, we have a chat for about 10-15 minutes.  She really talks to me and we sing too.  I feel so good happy and love having such a interactive baby.
  • She kicks and waves her arms when she's happy...especially in the morning when she wakes up and when I take her diaper off.
  • She knows  when I walk into the room and then when I lean over the crib to talk to her or say good morning (I say good morning whenever she wakes up from sleeping), she smiles and wiggles cause she's so happy to see me.
  • She grabs her toys and they go straight to her mouth, of course, then she tries to move them around in the air.  (it is so fun to see how she develops...how she is trying to get her brain and motor skills together)
  • Addison is recognizing her name.  When I address her she looks up and it's as if she knows I'm talking to her.
  • She is really following sounds.  She will turn in the direction they come from.
  • This baby goes to bed between 6:30 and 7pm and wakes up between 6 and 6:30am and then goes back to bed until 8:30 or so.  She has two, 2 hr naps, 10am and 2pm. We've had this schedule for over a month now. She is a good little sleeper because she has a persistent momma.
I can't imagine not being a mom.  It brings the greatest joys already and she's only 5 months.  I love her so much and she has the cutest kissable checks ever

    My Baby's a Big girl !!!!

Yesterday morning I put Addison on the floor for some tummy time....we haven't been good at this at all...I can count on one hand how many times I've put her on her tummy.  I ran to the kitchen to get something and when I came back she was on her back.  I had to do a double take, so I put her back on her tummy and grabbed the camera but it was dead.  That is just my luck.  After the camera was charged we tried it again and she was nothing but fussy and wouldn't roll over.

This morning we tried it again and had total success.  It was so exciting but sad because she is getting bigger and bigger every day.

Maggie had to supervise because she didn't want the baby to get more attention than her.  What a cute pair of rugrates!!!!

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving (and Mommy's birthday...the big 29).  It's old to me!!!!  We didn't on the other get a picture of all of us, but we got some pictures. I got Addison in her Pajamas, then first outfit for the day until she had a leak cause dad is still learning how to put diapers on and I was hoping the final one for the day....nope we had yet another one. Worst day for changing cloths we've had!!!!

    Happy Thanksgiving and Birthday Mommy!!!!!!

    Snow!!!!!

The last few days we have been in a small blizzard.  I took these pictures just as the snow was starting to fall.  We've probable received 8 or so inches and don't get me started on the wind.  Sarah (in the previous pictures) made Addie a hat and we decided to try it out.  The Hat definitely kept her head warm.  Thanks Sarah.....and look at that SNOW!!!!

    Very Thankful !!!!

I was just thinking about how blessed I am.  I have a cute little family... and wonderful husband and a beautiful baby I can't live without.  We are happy and healthy.  We have a warm place to live and food to eat.  Most of all I have to gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.  With it I don't feel lost or without a purpose.  I watched this Mormon Message about Thanksgiving the other day...it just inspired me.  Whenever I'm feeling  down or a little stressed I think of all these wonderful Blessing and how much the Lord has given me and my family.  GIVE THANKS AND REMEMBER HOW BLESSED WE REALLY ARE!!!!
