Fall Weekend at Home (new mexico)

We were able to go home for a few days...I wish we didn't live so far so we could go home more.  When I was living in Utah, it was only 6 hours, but now add another 3 hours to that and a baby and the drive seems forever.  FALL is my favorite season......the warm sun with the crisp air, the smell of apples or something being canned, homecoming,  and of course pumpkins!!!!

Kallie (my sister) was nominated for Homecoming queen, so we headed down to participated in all the fun activities.  We made Navajo Tacos (homecoming isn't homecoming without them), created all different kinds of caramel apples, and carved pumpkins.  The weekend was so enjoyable. 

First, the parade and then the game and the announcement of THE queen.....Kallie didn't win but she should have!!!!!

I had to stand in the shadows of the stop sign so Addie wouldn't get sun blasted. 

First night out with the baby.  She was all bundled up so you can't see her but we had fun. 

Sofi(my niece) wanted to ride the tractor around the track, but she settled for pretending!!

Pumpkin carving was so much fun and not as much work as it looks like. I have never used a pumpkin cutting kit before, but I won't leave home without one again.  It worked really good.

I just can't get enough

I thought Addison was stubborn before she was born, and I was right....even more so now that she has reached 3 months.  Well she does comes from long LINES (that's right all the way around) of stubbornness so there really isn't any surprise there.   She is a happy baby unless there is patience involved and then she really lets me have it.  We love her so much and we are so glad we get to see her grow and change.

Don't let him fool you...I change her and then he finished snapping her up.  One of these days daddy will get to change a diaper.  (he would if I asked him to, I just haven't yet.  He says he'll throw up....I don't want to clean both right now cause I really think he would.)

We're almost 3 months!

Next week our little girl will be three months.  I can't believe it.  She is getting so big and developing a very cute personality.  This is what we've been up to......

Yesterday, Addie laughed really for the first time.  I loved that sound.  

• She is sucking on her hands
• following me and my voice more intensely
• Stands up on my lap for a minute or so then goes limp.  She's getting strong
• holds her head up most of the time

With Dad out of town, we went to church all by ourselves.  Addison was really good....slept almost the full 3hrs.  She was ready to be home though!!!

Staying Busy

Allen has been gone all week, so we've been trying to have fun so we don't miss him as much.  We went down to Allen's moms house and canned for 3 days, peaches, pears, and Tomatoes.  We came back and had a friend and her baby come and visit us from Logan.

  Katie and Addison are 6 weeks apart so that is why Addie is quite a bit smaller than Katie.  We had fun!!!!

2 MoNtHs

Actually most of these pictures were taken this last week, so I should say 9 weeks.  Our little girl is getting so cute.  We went to the doctor yesterday and we're just over 9 Ibs, 23 1/2 inches. Addison is almost fitting into 0-3 months...I have really cute cloths for her, just looks like she's going swimming.  

She loves to smile and talk to her momma. 

The camera battery died so that's why it just cuts off.

LaBoR dAy....

We had a busy Labor Day weekend.  

We went boating, blessed Addison and drove to Stanley, ID to enjoy a week vacation.

Addison is getting bigger as the weeks go by.  This weekend, Memorial Day, we are blessing this precious spirit.  We are so excited to be with family.  

Addie loves to smile and she is trying to laugh, just not yet, but she also has serious faces, and when she gets mad, she really lets ya know...I wonder what she's thinking sometimes.   

Oh and mom is doing great.  Went for my six week check up and everything is almost back to normal.  Where I got the infection isn't all healed up yet, but in a few more weeks I should be good to go.....just a few more weeks Allen!!!!!
